Radstock has a high proportion of housing built during the mining era — solid stone construction with natural slate roofs that have, in many cases, never been fully replaced. When these roofs do reach the end of their life, the replacement needs to be done properly: correct batten gauges for the slate being used, lime mortar on the valleys and ridges of pre-1919 properties, and materials that don't look out of place in a conservation-sensitive mining village.

S.C Roofing has extensive experience with Radstock's housing stock and carries natural Welsh slate and reclaimed materials for re-roofing the town's older properties. For the post-war estates we use modern concrete tile systems from Redland and Marley. Being based locally means we can price competitively and maintain a close eye on the work throughout the project.
